There are countless games based on game shows that have been on TV for decades like Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. 1. The Karate Kid- The hit movie form the early 1980′s spawned a Nintendo video game that was a great seller. Daniel San is taken on a journey in the game that combines the bets elements of the first two Karate Kid movies. The tournament action of the first movie is captured in the beginning of the game and then you go further on his journey as you slice through ice blocks with your hand and catch flies with chopsticks.
2.) James Bond 007- One of the most popular games ever based on a movie series is the Bond game. It’s first person game so all you see if an extended gun as you travel room to room and scene to scene. The game is realistic and actually caused a bit of controversy as the first person way the game plays out can be hard for some people to handle.
3.) Avatar- James Cameron’s epic Avatar is the single highest grossing moving of all time. Naturally, the highest paying movie ever had to be transformed into a video game and thats exactly what happened here. The game is packed with scenes reminiscent of the movie and is action packed.
There is no shortage of movies being turned into video games. With proper licensing from the studio, money can be made on movie likenesses long after the box office recepits stop rolling in.
