Celebrities Starring In Video Games

Gaming enthusiasts have inadvertently creates a new form of work for actors these days. The graphics involved in video games are always improving and so is the authenticity. Gamers want games to be as lifelike as possible and certain occasions call for a celebrity to participate in a game. Here are a couple ways celebrities have been padding their pockets in the video game industry.

1.) Games based on movies- What would a video game based on “Scarface” be without the participation of Al Pacino? Not as cool of a game as it is with him I would say. Indeed, Al Pacino gets a nice paycheck in order to voice his own character from the original movie. While designers can create a character that looks just like Al in 1983, any attempt to do the voice if it’s not him is bound to anger the fanbase looking for an authentic game. In the end, it’s worth it to the company and then some to enroll the help of the actor as it raises the number of games that will ultimately be sold.

2.) Games based on TV shows- A game such as “24″ for instance, could come out without the help of Keifer Sutherland voicing Jack Bauer, but who would want it? As long as an actor does not make extaordinary demands and keep their pay scale relative to hat a game makes for the company, then ultimately, everyone comes out a winner. This includes the actors, the company and the fans.

Actor participation in games is fun for us and easy for them. It also gives your favorite show or movie a new life.
