As Computers Keep Evolving

Just when you thought computers couldn’t be any more involved in our lives, technology advances and theres a new device. In the 1970s, people never dreamed computers would be such an intricate part of how we plan our lives and communicate with people. Here is a short evolution of how we’ve become so dependent on these machines.

1.) The desktop computer- In the 1980′s, computers were rolled out in schools and people began to purchase them for their homes. All the text was green and the screens tended to fliker. Still, it was the newest technology at the time and it was pretty cool just to have a computer than could do anything along the lines of playing games from a floppy disk.

2.) Laptop computers- With laptops, computers became transportable so that we could conduct our business anywhere. Sure, you need a power source, but some wise planning and you could complete spreadsheetwork in the park and out in the sun. Laptop computers allowed people to travel with their computers on flights so they could access all of their records.

3.) The Blackberry et al- Hand held phones with computer capabilities have officially put computers directly into our pockets. Indeed, you need only pull it out of your pocket to access all of your appointments as well as play your favorite games. You can complete work in the Microsoft office or offer your latest thoughts via Twitter or Facebook.

It’s amazing to think what may come next. The short evolution of computers have shown us that anything is possible in electronics so we’ll just have to wait for the next big development.
